How Rental Enquiries Work
A clear, straightforward process from initial enquiry to agreed hire. No fake booking systems, no instant guarantees, no unverified claims. Just honest, direct rental conversations.
From enquiry to agreed hire
Every rental starts as an enquiry. Availability, suitability, and terms are discussed before any hire is agreed. This is how Plated Gear Rentals works.
Submit Rental Enquiry
Send your enquiry with as much detail as possible — activity type, dates, location, group size, and equipment needs.
Share Activity & Equipment Needs
Tell us about the activity, intended use, age group, quantities, access requirements, and any safety or suitability considerations.
Discuss Availability & Suitability
We will confirm whether the requested equipment is available, suitable for the intended use, and appropriate for the context.
Confirm Rental Terms Directly
Rental terms, deposit requirements, return expectations, and any conditions are confirmed in direct communication before hire begins.
Use & Return as Agreed
Use the equipment as discussed and return it in the agreed condition, by the agreed date. Final logistics confirmed directly.
Information that helps your enquiry
The more detail provided in an enquiry, the faster availability, suitability, and rental terms can be discussed and confirmed.
How availability and suitability are assessed
Availability
Equipment availability is not guaranteed at the point of enquiry. It is confirmed based on the date, duration, quantities needed, and what is currently accessible. Sending an enquiry early with clear dates and requirements helps assess availability.
Suitability
Equipment suitability depends on the intended use, age group, activity context, location, and group size. Not all equipment is appropriate for all uses. Suitability is assessed through direct discussion before hire is agreed.
Rental Terms
Rental terms — including pricing, deposit requirements, return expectations, damage responsibility, and any conditions of use — are confirmed directly before hire begins. No rental terms are binding until agreed in communication.
Use & Return
Equipment must be used for the agreed activity and returned in the agreed condition by the agreed date. Final logistics — collection, delivery, return method — are confirmed as part of the rental agreement.
Rental terms, deposits, damage responsibility, return requirements, collection/delivery options, and suitability are confirmed directly before any hire is agreed. Submitting an enquiry is not a confirmed booking. Equipment availability is not guaranteed at the point of enquiry.
